Palmira Páramo López

Palmira Páramo López is a collaborating researcher in the research project “Visuality and Geo-aesthetics in the Era of the Ecosocial Crisis” (VIGEO, PID2022-139211OB-I00), Faculty of Geography and History, University of Barcelona.
Born in León, Guanajuato, Mexico, she is a researcher, artist, curator, lecturer, and cultural manager. She is currently pursuing an Interinstitutional PhD in Art and Culture at the University of Guanajuato, where she is developing the research project Toward an Ecosophic Aesthetics from the Expanded Landscape, as a continuation of her line of inquiry in visual arts and critical thought, with a particular emphasis on environmental and social reflections.
Her artistic practice is articulated through interdisciplinarity, with drawing and nature as its main conceptual and methodological axes. In the field of curatorship and cultural management, she is co-founder of Almáciga Gestoría Artística, a project focused on fostering connections between artists and institutions at local, national, and international levels, with notable exchanges with Japan through the Contemporary Art Festival Nebula and The Printsaurus. She is also co-founder of Rizoma Agencia Cultural, dedicated to promoting the visual arts in dialogue with contemporary literature.
