CACiS – Centre for Contemporary Art and Sustainability presents the 1st Call for Research, Residency and Artistic Production “Geographies of Extractivism in Central Catalonia,” an initiative aimed at fostering artistic and critical research projects linked to the extractive processes that have shaped Central Catalonia. The call is addressed to artists, researchers and curators interested in exploring, from a situated and interdisciplinary perspective, the social, environmental and cultural transformations derived from mining, agroindustry, energy infrastructures or land management. The selected project will include an artistic residency at CACiS (Calders), a period of research and production, and a public presentation of the work, as well as an open-access publication. The call offers fees, a production budget and curatorial support. The deadline for submissions is March 20, 2026. The information session will take place online on Monday, February 23, 2026 at 6 pm.
