Magdalena Rosso is an artist, cultural manager, and professor of art and tourism, she completed her Master’s degree in Advanced Studies in Art History at the University of Barcelona in 2025 with a tesis entitled “An Amphibious Art: Artistic Practices and Wetland Ecosystems between Latin america and Spain, 2015-2025.” She is currently a phd student in the Arts PhD Program at the National University of Córdoba, Argentina, where she continues her research on contemporary art, climate change, and the extractivism affecting wetland ecosystems. She focuses particularly on the forms of resistance, especially artistics ones, emerging from the Global South in response to these practices that perpetuate colonizing dynamics.

Graduated in Painting from the Academy of Fine Arts in Genoa, Italy, in 2011; and holds a degree in Art and Cultural Management from the Provincial University of Córdoba, Argentina, in 2019. She also completed a research stay (2022) at the Arts Societies and Knowledge Economies (ASK), Reaserch Centre at Bocconi University in Milan, Italy.

She was also part of research group based at the Provincial University of Córdoba, Argentina, working on the topics of “Artistic Practices, Professionalization, and Work: The case of Autonomous Visual Arts Management and its Relationship with Public Policies in the City of Córdoba”, and “Borders: Mobile Office for Artist Support in Contexts of Economic and Enviromental Crisis”. Along the same lines of research, she participated as a member of the research group at Buenos Aires University (UBA): “Occupational Inequalities in Artistic and Cultural Work: Productios Relations, Public Policies, and Worker’s Strategies” financed by the Fund for Scientific and Technological Research, Argentina.

Between 2022 and 2023, she participated as an Teaching assintant in the chair of Community Territorial Linkage Practices II, of the University Technical Degree in Visual Artistic Production, and as an interim professor in the chair of Academic Reading and Writing, from June to December 2023, in the University Technical Degree in Graphic Design, both of the Provincial University of Córdoba.
