Rosa A. Cruz
Trained in fine arts and photography, Rosa A. Cruz has a Bachelor’s degree in Art History and a Master’s degree in Advanced Studies of Art History, both from the University of Barcelona. At present, she is developing her PhD, directed by Martí Peran, about the origin and developing of anti-realism theories in different photographic practices in the catalan context.
Her field of interest is focused in photography and uses of image in the media, but also in criticism and curatorial work in contemporary art, archive work and art publishing world, especially in artist books and photobooks.
She has worked in Foto Colectania Foundation and in the publishing department of MACBA. In addition, she has collaborated with the photographic archive of The Gaudí Research Institute and the Muntadas Archive, and she was a member of the curatorial team of ‘Barcelona Inspira’, an exhibition presented in Circle Artístic de Sant Lluc within the framework of the curatorial seminar ““On Mediation/1” in collaboration with Fundació Antoni Tàpies.
