Arola Valls Bofill

Barcelona, 1979. She studied Fine Arts at the University of Barcelona. She received a photography diploma from GrisArt School of Photography and an MA in Advanced Studies in Art History from the University of Barcelona. She is a teacher of the Department of Teacher Training in Visual and Plastic Arts at the University of Barcelona, where she teaches Image Theory at the Audiovisual Communication EHEA bachelor’s degree. She teaches History of Photography and Contemporary Photography at various photography schools in Barcelona and works for the Education Department at Fundació La Caixa designing projects for contemporary art exhibitions in Barcelona and Madrid. At present she is working on her PhD in Modern and Contemporary Art History. Her research is focused on “The use of photographic archives in contemporary art”.
